Pax's Paws provides professional pet care services in Richmond, Virginia and surrounding areas, including:

  • Overnight pet sitting and boarding

  • Dog walking

  • House sitting

  • Drop-in visits

  • Custom pet care plans

Specific services, pricing, and terms are detailed in our Client Service Agreement, which is executed separately for each client.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By using our website or services, you represent that you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age

  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts

  • Own or have authorization to arrange care for the pet(s) in question

  • Will provide accurate and complete information

4. Account and Booking

Registration: To book services, you may be required to create an account or provide contact and pet information through our booking system.

Account Responsibility: You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account information

  • All activities that occur under your account

  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

  • Providing accurate, current, and complete information

  • Updating information as needed

Booking:

  • Services are subject to availability

  • Booking confirmation does not guarantee service until we confirm acceptance

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion

  • Cancellation policy is detailed in the Client Service Agreement

5. Client Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

Accurate Information:

  • Provide truthful and complete information about your pet's health, behavior, and needs

  • Disclose any aggressive tendencies or behavioral issues

  • Provide current vaccination records

  • Inform us of any changes to your pet's condition

Home Access:

  • Provide safe, secure access to your home if applicable

  • Ensure your home is safe for our staff

  • Inform us of any hazards or special instructions

Payment:

  • Pay all fees according to the agreed payment terms

  • Provide valid payment information

  • Pay late fees if applicable

Compliance:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Not use our services for any unlawful purpose

  • Treat our staff with respect and professionalism

6. Our Rights and Responsibilities

We Reserve the Right To:

  • Refuse or discontinue service to any client at our discretion

  • Modify or discontinue services with reasonable notice

  • Update pricing with advance notice to existing clients

  • Cancel services due to safety concerns, weather, or emergencies

Our Commitments:

  • Provide services with professional care and attention

  • Maintain current Pet First Aid & CPR certification

  • Carry appropriate insurance coverage

  • Communicate clearly and promptly

  • Protect your privacy according to our Privacy Policy

7. Payment Terms

Pricing:

  • Current pricing is available on our website and is subject to change

  • Price changes will not affect services already booked

  • Custom services may have different pricing

Payment Methods:

  • We accept Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, cash, check, and credit/debit cards

  • Payment is due at completion of services for new clients

  • Recurring clients may establish alternative payment arrangements

Late Payment:

  • Late fees may apply to payments not received within 7 days

  • Returned checks or declined payments incur a $35 fee

Disputes:

  • Payment disputes must be raised within 30 days of service

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by Client:

  • 48+ hours notice: Full refund

  • 24-48 hours notice: 50% refund

  • Less than 24 hours notice: No refund

Cancellation by Us:

  • If we must cancel due to emergency or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund

  • We will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternative arrangements

No-Show:

  • If you are not present for scheduled service without prior notice, no refund will be provided

9. Liability and Disclaimers

Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited as set forth in the Client Service Agreement. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Pet care involves inherent risks despite reasonable care

  • We are not liable for pre-existing health conditions

  • We are not liable for unforeseeable accidents or acts of nature

  • Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for services or documented veterinary costs

  • We are not liable for property damage caused by your pet

Insurance: We maintain general liability insurance and pet care-specific insurance. Claims are subject to policy terms and limitations.

Disclaimer of Warranties: Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pax's Paws, LGSL Collective, LLC, and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms

  • Your violation of any law or regulation

  • Your pet's behavior or actions

  • Inaccurate or incomplete information you provide

  • Property damage caused by your pet

11. Intellectual Property

Our Content: All content on our website (text, images, logos, graphics, photos, videos) is owned by or licensed to Pax's Paws and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your License: You may access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or display our content without permission

  • Modify or create derivative works

  • Use our content for commercial purposes

  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices

Your Content: By providing photos, testimonials, or other content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and distribute that content for business purposes (e.g., marketing, website, social media), unless you specifically opt out.

14. Emergency Situations

In the event of a pet emergency, we will:

  • Contact you immediately

  • Follow pre-authorized emergency protocols

  • Transport your pet to the designated veterinarian or emergency clinic

  • Make reasonable decisions in your pet's best interest if you cannot be reached

You authorize us to seek emergency veterinary care and agree to reimburse all costs incurred.

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters (floods, hurricanes, earthquakes)

  • Severe weather

  • Public health emergencies

  • Government orders or restrictions

  • Utilities failures

  • Acts of war or terrorism

In such cases, we will provide notice and work with you to reschedule or provide refunds as appropriate.

16. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: Before pursuing formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at info@paxspaws.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Jurisdiction: Any legal action arising from these Terms or our services must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Richmond, Virginia. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.

Arbitration (Optional): If both parties agree, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court proceedings, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

17. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

  • We will post the updated Terms on our website with a new "Last Updated" date

  • Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent website notice

  • Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance

By You: You may terminate your account or discontinue services at any time by contacting us. Cancellation fees may apply according to our cancellation policy.

By Us: We may terminate or suspend your access to our website or services immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • Your pet poses a safety risk to our staff

  • You provide false or misleading information

  • We cease business operations

Effect of Termination: Upon termination:

  • Your right to use our services ends immediately

  • You remain liable for all outstanding payments

  • Provisions that by nature should survive (e.g., liability limitations, dispute resolution) will continue

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Client Service Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pax's Paws regarding use of our website and services, superseding any prior agreements.

21. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

22. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
